Trunk lip spoiler

Does anybody know anything about this spoiler? The description makes me nervous, 'cuz it lists that it fits 02-08 cars.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=270383536244

I am making this my next mod, and bought an M3 style one from a friend for $10. However, it's basically just a piece of black rubber cut in the shape of the spoiler, and the cheapest quote I've gotten to paint it was $140. I don't want to cheap out and do it myself, and I want whatever I go with to look like it is OEM in terms of quality and fit.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

That looks like the one I'm using from the same seller I believe. It's good quality and color matches perfectly. The only thing is that it doesn't quite go all the way to the edges of the trunk lid (look closely in the 3rd pic they have). I think they will make it a bit wider for you if you want (needs about 1/2 ").
Here's mine

Would you mind measuring and letting me know exactly how much longer to get it made? I emailed them and they said they will make it any size I want and want to make sure it fits perfectly.

Thanks!

^ Just measure the edge of your trunk seam to seam and you'll know yourself!! I think I'll do that tomorrow. Did you contact the same seller in the link I posted? Seems like a good deal if it looks good compared to getting mine painted.

I think 45" should be the right width. The trunk from seam to seam is approx. 45 1/4" and leaving 1/8" from each side comes up to 45". Now, I contacted another ebay seller selling the same type of trunk lip spoiler and he gave me a dimension of 1240mm, that's is equivalent to 48.82 inches, way longer than what I measured. I'd suggest you confrim the width with the seller prior to ordering. And please post the given demension since we have two differnet sellers on ebay.

Seems like a good seller to me. I would love to hear how the product is quality wise when you get it, Pls post pictures and let us know whats the specific lenght you get.

And im just throwing 2 cents out there but i kind of like it when the lip spoiler doesnt reach to the end of the trunk. Like darnelled's car.

Look for pics of my cars rear end to see what it would look like on LS. Pretty sure thats the exact same spoiler i bought (came color matched and what not for around $100 and doesnt quite reach each end, but in reality, you dont even notice it)

They're telling me they will ship one that's 1185mm unless otherwise notified.

I have been watching his auctions as well. Let us know about what the seller says about the length issue. I emailed him through ebay asking about color match. He said he has very few complaints about the match (especially on DG). He could have just been blowing smoke.

The seller got back to me again stating 1240mm was the incorrect width and it should be 1155mm. So I guess the range is anywhere from 1155mm to 1185mm. I think both sellers used the same manufacter in Asia.

I am just going to order one hoping it is as good as Janik's.

Just made the purchase. It said to take 4 to 6 days for delivery. If you want, I can inspect the lip once it gets here and let you know the paint quality and fitment.
