Bottom door lights

how do i turn these off when i open the door. it seems there are only door lights on the front driver and passenger i believe. i turned the top lights off with the switch near sunroof. Do i have to remove the bulbs to make them not come on. its annoying at night, i just want nothing to come on if i get out of the car at night. should i bother?

Annoying? Wow, I hardly notice them. Maybe you're in a line of work that being seen at night is bad. There's no way to turn them off short of removing the bulbs. You could also put blue lights in them which should lessen the annoying factor. That, or get some therapy.

I like that lighting. Not sure how that is annoying unless your carpet is rank and your passengers notice this and u get embarrassed

I got Super White LEDs in the bottom door lights, and they go off when the doors are shut. I love the way they light up at night like a spotlight. So yeah, not annoying to me in the least bit

I just checked in my car.

They come on ONLY if the door is open. They are not tied in with the interior lights. In other words i open the door they come on, i close the door and they immediately go on while the interior lights stay lit for 30 seconds or so.

All the high end cars are doing it these days...even some not-so high end cars do it.

I personally love it, and as soon as the door is shut they go off, so if they are staying on, perhaps one of the door switches is faulty

Lol, he's not saying that they are faulty. They are working perfectly fine, he just doesnt want them on at all when the door is open.
