Re: Question for those that ordered a 6mt Sedan

Yeah, 04NismoV35, the stars were aligned for me that day I bought my "G".

NO, I don't have the full Nismo aero kit, just the factory aero package with diffusers, side sills, and the rear wing. I do have the splashguards, which look pretty good on my black car, as the guards and the side sills are black, too.

But, I advise EVERYONE to work with the Internet Sales Manager (who is usually also the Fleet Sales Manager) on their purchase. Infiniti Corporation is VERY web friendly, and I believe they are promoting Internet sales as the wave of the future, with special "Internet only" rebates, like what I got on my car, which reduced the price to $50 below dealer invoice. They (Infiniti) aren't being too vocal about it (I'm sure it ticks their regular sales force off), but they are definitely better and more likely to cut you a deal with an Internet purchase.

FYI: Most Fleet/Internet Sales Managers earn their bonuses based upon the NUMBER of cars they sell, more than the actual $ profit earned per car - so it's more important to them that they move "units" than it is that they make a large $ profit per unit. The factories also give special perks to the dealers based upon volume of cars sold, like more factory to dealer rebates when they hit a certain volume sold, better choice of which cars they get because they are "top" dealerships, sales volume rebates, "prizes", & awards, and prestige and recognition in the Infiniti system for their performance, etc.

The salesmen on the showroom floor, on the other hand, are paid their commissions based primarily upon how much profit they earn the dealership on each individual car sold, so their motivation is to get the highest price for the dealership.

Conclusion: Use the Internet Sales Manager, Dummy! (that was me, talking to myself as I went car shopping). I had a very pleasant experience, no hassle, and quite relaxing and enjoyable - best car buying experience I've ever had!
