Transmission glitch at 40mph

I just took my 04' G35 Sedan in for a oil change and I mentioned to the service rep (MotorWerks - Barrington) that I'm experiencing a slight glitch when I'm accelerating past 40mph. It kinda feels like someone bumped the back of my car.

The rep tells me that this is a know issue and that Infiniti is working on a solution. Can anyone confirm this? Is anyone else having the some problem.

Same here. Almost as if it tries to downshift but than decides not to. I noticed it a couple of times but people who were with me in the car didn't feel anything. This is 5AT, right ?

I have noticed that a few times myself. I wasn't concerned about it, but I will mention it on my next visit!

The first question that I was asked at the dealership was "Can you reproduce it?" I had no other comments since it has been happning at most once a month.

Well, to tell you the truth, I thought maybe it had something to do with the VDC, I seem to notice it at about the same places in the road. I think it would be more due to a computer thing if anything, more than a mechanical problem. I don't even think mine has done it once a month, it's very rare.

I agree. I'm very curious as to how VDC will react to stickier tires. Sport Goodyears are not as good after 9k miles. And I'm not worried about transmition being a mechanical problem. I have 91k more miles to figure it out

Re: Transmission glitch at 40mph

Yes I have experienced it too. Like a small bump and before you know it, its gone.
Only remember it maybe 3-4 times in last 3 months. Almost impossible to produce.

Typically happens when you are cruising around 40mps or so.

If anyone finds more on it please enlighten us all. Seems like a bug in the software like ther is loss of communication and its back before you know it.

Re: Transmission glitch at 40mph

With my '03 5A/T sedan it is like it slips out of gear for just a second - and then right back in. I hate it. I also get a pissy transmission shudder when accel 2/3 to WOT on the second to third gear change. I report it every time I take my G in - they always drive it and say nothing is wrong. Overall I am not as pleased with this car as I had hoped to be.
