Am i covered???
Am i covered???
So my front passanger shock is blown.
my car has 55K miles on it. i know it should be covered under warranty.
The problem is, I got my baby at a Toyota dealer and i am the second owner. The car originally came from Infiniti of thousand oaks.
so my questions.
Am i still covered under warranty even though i am the second owner and got it from a toyota?
Do I take it to its original infiniti dealer to replace this under warranty? or do i take it to the toyota dealer that most likely will send me to an infiniti dealer to get this fixed?
what do i do, who do i go to????????
Thanks in advance for your responce guys!

I believe that infinit's come with a standard 4-yr 60k mile warranty. however, only an infiniti dealership (it can be any infiniti dealership, not necessarily the originial one) can administer that warranty.
so the answer is, depends. it depends on when the car was first sold to the first owner. if the car was first sold to the first owner before May 2005, then you might be out of luck (check the carfax report). transfer of ownership does NOT negate a warranty.
to be sure though, contact infiniti's headquarters via their website.

It doesn't have to go to the original dealer...it can go to any infiniti dealer.
Call up, give them the vin and ask for the in service date and that will tell you when you are up

So i took my car to a local infiniti dealer and my warranty does not expire until november 09. I took her in and they are replacing the two front shocks and fixing all my "rattling" rear cabin creeks. I mentioned the TSB about the creeking windows and they new all about it. Im getting her back tomorow afternoon.
Thanks for the advice guys!!!
Cant wait till i get my car back and hear no creeking coming from my rear windows.

Got my car back this morning
they replaced the whole front suspencion with sport ones. Car feels alot stiffer now, in a good way, and the best part about it is that the creeking in the windows are gone!!!! In thinking of going back to have them fix the axel clicking problem.

"Verified Noise/Creek coming from rear and front windows. performed repair as per ITB05-034. Replaced all Window regulators bolts.
Basically its the regulator bolts that need to be replced with shorter ones. It can also be the compression rods.
Hope this helps.
