Fuel Gauge Problem....a bit different

So my car's battery dies, I didn't realize it at first, and I try to turn on the car and it's not starting. I get a jump, starts up fine and the fuel guage is WAY below empty. I had about 3/4 of a tank last I had checked and right now it's sitting at I would say about half a tank BELOW EMPTY. I turned off the car after driving it a little, turned it back on, and no difference. Is there a simple fix to this or must I take it to the dealer?

Just to clarify...I know there is a TSB for coupe, but not sure if there is one for the sedan and anyway, this issue seems different than that of the coupe.

this happened to me once, the gauge somehow got stuck under the little black stopper and it will always read way under E. I have to squeeze a lil tiny screw driver in there to push/pop it over the stoppper!
