That's how my chrome was blacked out as well. Recently, I removed the vinyl from the window trim because I didn't like how bland it made the car look. I don't like how wide the chrome pieces are around the windows so I took some pinstriping and essentially made the chrome window trim 3/8" narrower. It looks much better now.

I used 2" wide high end electrical tape vinyl. You could always order from a vinyl shop. If I did it again, I'd source some 4" wide vinyl so it's easy to do the rear door rail where it curves forward. That's the hardest part.

I got mine from Tony at Riverside. They were $300-330, if I remember correctly. They're cheaper than buying the US OEM tails.

The signal housing is red when the signal is off. When they're on, they're amber. In certain sun angles, the signal portion may look pink, slightly pinkish clear, or sometimes slightly amber.

Be very careful when getting tail lamps from places like ebay. They should say Koito Japan Nissan on them. Koito is the supplier of the tail lamps for nissan, both JDM and USDM.
+1 on the JDM Tails. I have the 03-04 version. While I like the 05-06 JDM Tails, I chose these because my car is an 04.

Where did you source JDM 03/04 rear assemblies from..?
I'll be adding these for my mods to do list for SURE!

Mustang5l5 you can get black vinyl sheets on ebay tha u can use for the door handles. I would have a professional do it if u don't have much experience with decals, for the window trim I got blackout tape from pepboys which is the same material and shade as a flat black vinyl sheet, I got a flat black vinyl sheet from ebay also cuz the blackout tape wasn't wide enough to do the rear part by the back window where it curves

You shouldn't really need a DIY just to swap out the tail lights. You just pop off the interior plastic pieces, pull up the pad covering the floor of the trunk, unbolt and unplug the lights and install the new ones. Should only take you about 15 minutes or so.

Riverside Infiniti special orders the JDM version. It's kind of hit and miss whether they have them in stock or not. Go with what you like, but the JDM's looks really nice on the car.
