Just used Seafoam, is this good or bad?

Just used a can of seafoam in my G35 I watched their instruction video online and followed the steps exactly except the car never began to smoke heavy or anything at all.... Is this good or bad? I had to run across town and even on the short drive across town and back it never smoked at all...

I have not seafoamed my G35, but I have used it on several other cars. Every car I've used it on, including my brothers 3.5 Altima, has smoked.

Where did you add it? You won't get the smoke unless you CAREFULLY add it to the intake track though a vacuum tube or something.

As their video shows, add 1/3 can into vac line, (did that) and it also says to add 1/3 into crank case ( Did not do that) just put the rest of the can into the gas tank... so 1/3 into Vac line and the rest into the gas tank... and no smoke...

How many mileage on the engine? Was it the engine properly taking care, as in synthetic oil, premium fuel, routine check up? Seafoam helps when the engine has residue from the years collected, but if the engine was properly taking care of, might not see as much smoke, if any?

I did it in my previously owned TL, and the first time it was like Bob Marley.. Smoking away pretty much, probably a cause of global warming.. lol. But, afterward with synthetic oil, premium fuel, etc... it really helped in the long run. I believe with Seafoam, after you get done, you should change the oil and put in new spark plugs as well.

I used to use it in my 01 vw jetta through the vacuum hose and it smoked all the time; I just used in in my 04 g sedan after doing my oil change this past weekend, I put it in my gas tank and didn't smoke at all...

Plan to do new oil in the next few days, since I have owned the car it has had synthetic oil changes on time and 91 octane or above (depending on location) but I have no idea how the previous owner cared for the car, I am assuming good since there is no smoke ....

I've used an assorted number of products in the past, from Berryman's B-12 Chemtool, to Seafoam, to BG Throttle Body and Intake Cleaner.

My favorite of all of them is the BG. Every 5th oil change I put a can of BG44 in the tank. Every 10k miles I'll do an induction service similar to the Seafoam prodecure but with the BG TB and Intake Cleaner. I have yet to do this procedure on the G as I have only driven it 7k miles in the 10 months I've had it, and it only has 39k miles on it. My brother at Nissan had a complete BG intake induction service done to the car when I first bought it.

My daily driven 1992 SHO gets this done regularly. I have actually removed the intake before and after the BG service and have taken pics. I was pleased with the outcome.

I would recommend using it, but also keep up on your oil changes and using premium gas... No smoke is good...

I used it about two oil changes ago (at about 85k miles), got a little bit of smoke, not too much.

Used it on my 2002 Accord before as well with about 90k miles, and that smoked for quite some time.

I use seafoam on my vehicles. Love it! keep is slow and steady, let it sit for a while to really go to work.
