Deals to be had?

After all this time drooling over this car, I may have the chance to buy one for my wife, but would need a killer deal to do so. With the 2005 model just around the corner, do you think there are deals to be had on the 04' sedan with leather? I know back in the day when I first looked about a year ago, they weren't negotiating much. However, I look around now and all the local dealerships have like 30+ cars sitting on the lot right now. When you bought your car, what kind of deal did you get? I got my Z-71 Tahoe for like 3 grand under invoice, but I have no clue how much wheelin and dealin Infiniti will do? Your feedback is much appreciated!

Re: Deals to be had?

I bought mine last september when the '04s were coming. eventhough it was a brand new car, it's was still an '03 with a years worth of depreciation. Print off the blue book value on kbb.com and use that as a tool to negotitate with. My car stickered for 38.8k but we ended up at $34.5K

You will hear of people getting amazing deals. Some at true but some are fabrications. Just go out and cut the best deal you can.

Re: Deals to be had?

GAWD NO.

It is very easy to find sedan close to invoice. Given that you don't wand some weird mix of options. I wanted sport and navi but no premium/moonroof and all that other weight adding crap. Couldn't find one, had to settle for no navi.

Re: Deals to be had?

Now that's what I am talking about. First offer from my local dealership: Invoice+ 2% and $200-400 to bring in a car from elsewhere. Not quite good enough...... gonna keep working on it. Other than the splashguards, that is pretty much what we are looking for.

Re: Deals to be had?

Do you mind if I ask where you got such a good deal? Where? city? state?

We've only got two Infiniti dealerships in the Seattle WA area and they're owned by the same people. Not a competitive situation - to say the least.

Re: Deals to be had?

I just came back from a dealer here in So.Cal and they were willing to give me $100 over invoice +TTL. Is $30,989+TTL a good price for an 04 Sedan DG/Graphite interior, AT, Sport Pkg, Full Aerodynamic kit, trunk mats?

Re: Deals to be had?

If I am reading your post correctly, I am assuming no Prem package or leather...so Edmunds is saying you are paying 500 over what others are paying. But if you are getting leather, then you're paying 500 over invoice which is a pretty good deal. Just make sure they didn't charge you that stupid advertising fee that some dealership scam ppl in paying. GL.

Re: Deals to be had?

It has leather/Full Aerodynamic kit, Sport Pkg, but no Premium. They went down to their so-called invoice price now ($30,889+TTL) According to Edmunds the invoice price with these options here is $31,240 and OTHERS paying $32,597. BTW What advertising fees?

Re: Deals to be had?

westbayou:

Bought my fully loaded '04 6MT Sedan for $50 less than dealer invoice in March, 2004. Made my deal over the Internet initially, then "wrapped it up" with the Internet Sales Manager via telephone.

You can search dealer inventory via the Infiniti.com website, then call the dealership and ask for the Internet Sales Manager (usually also doubles as the Fleet Sales Manager) - you'll probably get a better deal, as the Internet/Fleet Sales Managers are usually paid bonuses based upon the NUMBER of cars they sell, not the AMOUNT OF PROFIT earned on a particular car (like the regular salesmen).

My particular deal involved a $3,000 "Internet only" rebate, which the regular salesmen weren't allowed access to, so making my deal was really easy - a slam dunk, actually. No pressure, no hassle, no problems - just don't be surprised by the disgusted look on the salesmans face when he greets you upon arrival, and then you ask him to direct you to the Internet Sales Manager.

Good Luck!
