MJION, just go to the infinitihelp.com homepage and it's under the knowledgebase drop down menu. You will see Service Bulletins

Heres what to do.
Go to the dealership, and tell them that there is no adjustment needed, Just replacements. Tell that common sence is that you cannot adjust the regulator bolts, just replace them with shorter ones.
If they see you know what your talking about theyll do the job free of charge, but if you sound like you dont know what your talking about they will try and squeeze every penny out of your pocket.
worst comes to worse, tell them you need BOLT-01125-03241 and do it yourself, you can also try a diffrent stealership?

Thanks all for your input and advice.
I have spoken to a manager in Customer Relations who cannot make a decision until her boss gets back on Monday. We'll see what happens. I also said that I wasn't overly impressed with Crest Infiniti saying that occasional dripping into the driver's footwell is just a fact of life (I paraphrase but only slightly). Times are tough and they are clearly trying to make a quick buck here. I particularly liked when the service manager said it wasn't about cash as everyone gets paid anyway - warranty work always pays less than walk-in custom. He'll probably stick me with the 'diagnostic' cost at any rate.
Worst case scenario I'll take it to another dealership or do it myself and never buy another Infiniti.

^^ sounds like a plan.
although i dont think you should base wether or not to buy another infiniti over 1 Dealership. Ive ran across 2 Sh!ty dealerships but I still love my baby, and if the time comes to get another one, i would get one in a heart beat.

+1 A crappy dealer wouldn't ruin the love I have for my car!

I just replaced my squeaking bolts. Best $10 I ever spent on the car. Honestly it takes about 20 mins to do yourself (for both doors). Now that I know how they come off I could proabbly do both doors in 10 mins.

I could do the window work myself but I don't see why I should tbh. And the leak issue needs to be addressed and not fobbed off.
I suspect I just picked a poor dealership. No one likes being treated like a fool and that is how this dealership opened up negotiations.
Hopefully Infiniti Customer Relations will sort this out. I will update the thread next week when I hear back from them.
Update: Infiniti decided to honor the warranty in the end which is good news. Not sure why Crest Infiniti tried to give me the run around from the get-go but at least the issue was resolved by involving Customer Relations.
Bolts were replaced and the creak is gone. Apparently the leak is fixed too but I'm waiting for my next long trip to determine that.
Their recommended next steps were: Alignment, 30k service (mostly done), and power steering fluid replacement. I don't know about alignment as the car still seems to track fine but it the car has taken a little battering on some country roads. Power steering fluid does look decidedly brown but I am not sure if I need to replace it yet...
Thanks for all the advice.

Glad Infiniti Customer Relations came through for you. Keep in mind now that they have recommended these procedures it might be a good idea to get them done (minus the alignment) to stay within the guidelines of the Extended Warranty.

I have this creak too...glad I found this tread as it was starting to get annoying.
So, with the TSB in hand will the dealer fix it for free even though I am out of warranty or will they change it for a reduced price?
Thanks

Most likely they will not fix it for free if you are out of warranty. If I had been out of warranty I probably would have just bought the bolts and done it myself. They will probably charge you a few hundred to do it.Originally Posted by bigjuice
