Face Plate Removal

I would like to exchange faceplates. My car came with the wrong one. I have the non bose one which does not have the dual AC button, but my car came with the premium package.

I know that I can remove the faceplate without removing the radio itself, but will I be able to access the plug?

In order to access the plug, you'll have to unsecure the radio and pull it out.

How did you end up with the wrong face plate?

Previous owner had a full sounds system which i guess he removed before trading the car in. He decided to just stick any faceplate on there.

The CD changer didn't work either and got fixed under warranty and i just picked up the stock bose faceplate which I just installed. it was a pain taking everything apart
