Just bought a auto 06 g35 sedan
beat a few today, never will attempt again.
launching an awd sedan is fun, hope u have an awd. lol
u can search it up and see what people say. i dont know much about the oil thing. just performance. lol
That's with the 6-spds with the Rev-up engines. Your engine is not affected.
Check for sounds from the front suspension (compression rods) and check your spark plugs for oil pooling before your powertrain warranty is up.
mines alreaady happening, i have the 04 g35x sedan auto.
im burning oil at every 1500miles even my oil light pops on now and then.
If it's auto then you've got a problem on your hands, that's the first AT i have heard to burn oil. The consumption issues were purely the rev-up engines rated at 298hp.
OP, search man. There are no major problems so you should be alright. The compression rods will go soon or a later but thats about it.

There have been a few 5AT's that have had an oil consumption problem, while only a handfull have had the problem, they're still out there. VodkaRocket (Boris, IP 05 5AT sedan) had it happen to him and got his motor replaced shortly before he sold the car.
Like others have said, the biggest thing to watch for is the valve covers leaking. Other than that, do the scheduled maintenance and the car should run like a top.

thanks for the info guys i was freaking out there for a minute, i just bought this 06 g35x after driving a 00 civic SIR that burned oil like a mother, I hope i dont have that problem with this beast but i don't rip it at all i drive fairly conservative, with the speed laws we got now in Ontario you'd be an idiot to speed, they'll impound your car and suspend your license, it serious up here now.
