Thinking of buying an OEM front lip but is it stupid?

Is it stupid to have an oem front lip in the northest? we get snow alot!!!
Plus my car is an awd so it's a bithc to get it lower and i've given up on lowering it, would an oem front lip look stupid on an UNLOWER g35? These are the only things holding me back from buying it at everythingg35.

Opinions?

I'm in the same boat. I haven't bought one yet SOLELY because of ground clearance. With the snow, you need every inch you can get, and the last thing i want to do is plow snow with my new OEM spoiler.

Can it be removed in the winter without obvious visual damage to the bumper?:

i went with the stillen lip and i only put two screws in my bumper, when removed you can't even tell. i didnt use the rivets they gave me and it still has perfect fitment after about two weeks. I live in spokane where the snow is crazy and i will be removing the lip as soon as we get over 6 inches.

I am sure I had my Lip on before I changed my suspension. I loved it. I liked the look. I am not sure what the snow would do to it. I would do it.

Quickly call Rick and Riverside Infiniti. I think they still have a very few.

i really like the look of the oem lip but since my car won't be lowering, it'll be at stock height, would it look wierd?

anyone have any pictures of the oem lip at stock height?

OK. I uploaded two pics to my first pics album. You can get an idea there. It doesn't really lower the front that much with just the lip. Looks sweet though.

nice car, reminds me i gotta debadge sometime this weekend.

but ya i still couldn't really make out what the car looks like at stock level with the oem lip. cuz right now, at stock height, you could probably smuggle a small mexican kid across the border in the spacing between the wheel and panel.

HAHAHA. I did smuggle a few. I needed to do that to afford the new wheels.

I honestly don't remember it being so bad at the time. It does look huge now since I am used to looking at my car and seeing it lower.

Your car is going to be at its current height with or without the lip. The lip will look good.

I will look for a different look at it. I should have one.

Wowza, Riverside has them for 400 + 70 shipping. Like talking back to parents, that can be some costly lip.

get it, it only really lowers your front like 1 cm, since it overlaps the bottom of your bumper. . .i live in salt lake city, plenty of snow, and no issues with the lip.

It can be removed, but you'll have a lot of holes in the front of your bumper. The way it mounts to the bumper is with built in bolts and nuts on the back side of the bumper to secure it. It really doesn't lower the car that much but it definitely adds to the look of the car. Plus it makes your G35 sedan stand out from all the other plain jane g35x's that probably litter your area.

Really annoying that they discontinued the OEM lip. I was planning on getting one eventually, but don't really have $400 to drop right now.

You guys are a bunch of panzys. I have a lip, on my RWD sedan, that is lowered, in MINNESOTA and once i had my 17s on the car moved just fine in the snow. It isnt any lower than a normal stock bumper. its just an extension.

You are all lifted 4X4s with AWD and your worried about plowing snow??? Dont sweat it, your car will be exactly the same. Buy lips now while you CAN. Dont hold off and fret about snow issues. Live in the moment and see how it does when you get into some snow.

But im telling you know, your not going to notice it.
