I am trying to install the ipod cable and having some problems with removing the center console.. I can't seem to find any DIY or any past postings.. Can anyone help?

 

Are you trying to remove the whole thing, or just enough to get the radio out?

So you need to get behind the radio head unit, is that what you are asking about?

You need to remove the glove compartment, the bezel in the dash, and the lower section on the drivers side as well. Then you need to remove the shift **** and the center section (be careful with the plastic wire connections, they can break easy). Finally, you should be able to remove the radio head unit. There are a few screws that hold it on the bottom and one that holds it on the top that is normally hidden by the clock.

 

hey guys thanks for your inputs but i am looking for the DIY in the center console. I already know how to go behind the radio head unit, i just want to know how to wire the ipod cable into the center console.

 

There's a little part under the gear shift, just slide it down. Then there's a little collar pin pop it fwd twds the radio. Then pull the gear shift up. Make sure you have the e brake on. Put the gear in "n" the pull the whole center console up.
