Need fast reply help headlight baking
I am in the process right now of painting my headlights right now. Just pulled down the front bumper got the headlights out. I heard this would make my oven smell really bad and not to do it in my home oven true or false?
preheat to 220 for 14 minutes

ok well i been trying to pull apart for 20 min now its not even warm so did the glue harden? Do i have to reheat it up by baking it again and try again?
Screws came out before it even went in the oven.

it takes some effort man. when your pulling it, do you see the sealent being stretched at all? Or is it not budging at all? Glue doesn't need to be hot, just warm

Do I need two guys to do this. Cause this aint working. Ill try again. Im going to put it back in and warm it up cause its competely cool now and hard again. Ill try one more time
do it with two people if you have a buddy available. wayyy easier. any longer than 5min out, the glue is re hardened. it's not going to be super easy. fwiw, those housings get SUPER hot with the bulbs normally, and have to be made to withstand a malfunction anyways, so 220 is nothing. i did mine @ 300 and was fine. i DID take ALL the bulbs out though and SOAK several rags in water and wrap the harness's up to prevent wires from getting melted though.
just my .02

shoot, i left all the wires in there, just took out the bulb, baked it and nothing happen, scary at first but cant wait to do something next to it. thinking about halos and projectors.
