Wiper Problems....any thoughts?
I recently had my dealer replace my wiper blades.......they are factory (Nissan) blades. Now, in certain conditions, the blades tend to chatter and squeal on the windshield, making my visibility less than desireable......
Has anyone else experienced this problem......I took it back to the dealership, but I think they just cleaned the blades, because they worked okay for about 20minutes in the rain, and then started doing the same thing......

Damn I thought that only happened to me?! It's been raining heavily here in S. Florida and when my wipers are on the slow speed setting it chatters on the glass, the only difference is that I haven't replaced mine yet. Hopefully someone could help us out!

How are you microscopically cleaning the windshield glass?
Cleaning blades only helps if the windshield is clean........an difficult task..........not some colored water and a squeezeeeeee.

I will try cleaning the windshield with some grease/wax remover, and will not use my usual Rain X, which in the past with the original blades was not a problem.....
It seems to me the replacement blades are not as soft as the originals. This should prove to be a major PITA in the winter months in the No. East.......I can only imagine how they will chatter at that point......

Only the drivers side wiper chatters - and it has done it since the day of delivery.

My driver side has recently started to chatter once in a while (7 months old). Thought about just replacing the blades.

I took Q45tech's advise...
I cleaned my windshield with lacquer thinner, and then with windex to remove the rain x and any other build up......I could not believe the black grime and grease that came off the windshield....
I'm not sure if this will eliminate the problem....but the glass does seem to be alot smoother, and I did a brief test with the wipers and they seem fine for the time being.....
If it rains some more today, I will report on any good or bad news I may have.....hope it works.....

Mine did this forever. The dealer didn't help. RainX didn't help, cleaning didn't help.
I bought some new blade assemblies from Wal-Mart (RainX brand) and now they're good as gold. The new assemblies are more sturdy and don't wobble everywhere like the old ones. I recommend you go buy some new blades and assemblies. Cost me about $17 if I recall.
Good luck.
