Re: Stillen sway bars on sale!
Yeah I just saw that on their webpage, $289.00
That's a great deal, as I recall it used to be like $250 for just the rear Maxima bar.
I'll pick me up a set once I'm done with my next sleu of travel.
PS - I'd rather stick to the stock bushings then get polyurethane ones. Most aftermarket urethane bushings make crunching noises when it gets cold out (like under 40F).

NuttyProf:
Install was not all that bad, although it was made MUCH easier by the ramps that Josh picked up at Kragen (~$30)
The worst part was having to spend extra time on the exhaust. If you have two people, you will be able to remove the bolts and pull the muffler away to allow the old/new bar to come out. def a two person job, unless you drop the muffler all the way.
Cato: Yes, Stillen assumes you will be resuing the old bushings, as I did on mine (cuz I didn't realize I'd have to!)
BrianV: under 40 degrees!! WTF, I can't move any farther west without being Hawaii brrrr, don't even wanna think about it. NuttyProf - we're in SoCal, so i would suggest you pick up a set of PU bushings. I'll probably change mine out in a few thousand miles.
dholly: that's about what I remember from Stillen's description last year (they seem to have changed it and every online shop uses their new text)
All - Unfortunately, the wife claimed the car this week (she likes to keep the mileage low, and I can easily put 100 miles on the car a day with my commute and kidivities.)
Anyway, for the 45 minutes or so that I drove the car after installing, I noticed the difference immediately! Made a left turn from a traffic light (big intersection, 25-40mph) and there was a lot less movement than before. It felt as if the car was "square", for lack of a better description. I was moving, but the car wasn't. Same thing coming around one of our big freeway transition loops. Hitting the loop at about double the posted limit (which is posted way lower than necessary) there was no roll or pitch. I thought the suspension was great before when I was running Mulholland Dr., now it's a whole new car!
I got a new contact for some parts, so if you guys are interested, give Warren a call at Speed Alliance in San Diego for a quote on Hotchkis (not sure if he carries Stillen). warreng@speedalliance.com 858-637-9240
Paul@Avalonracing.net is great source for low price Stillen.
Not everything is on their sites, but that doesn't mean you can't get a good price. tell 'em both that Ted sent ya so they know where you are coming from.
Cheers, Ted

Re: Stillen sway bars on sale!
I'd love some poly bushings for the engine / tranny mounts too... Does anyone know if any are available? My gear **** moves way too much on throttle up/down and also when I'm romping on it I have trouble getting into 3rd sometimes just based on the tranny moving. Does anyone else notice it's a little smushy or is it just me?

Re: Stillen sway bars on sale!
I talked with my service rep about having the dealer install
the Stillen sway bars for me. He called back and said it would
be $250 to install and 4 wheel allignment. Alignment I ask?
"Yes, this is a suspension part and your car will need alignment."
Hmmmmmmmm.........................
Maybe I should install myself and take the car to the
dealer for alignment. Any thoughts?????

Re: Stillen sway bars on sale!
Stillen sent a one page vague discription on how to install
their sway bars. The Hotchkis description is very good.
Thanks very much! I have ordered new sway bar bushings
from Infiniti and will do the install this weekend. Oh boy!

Re: Stillen sway bars on sale!
Yeah, I just ordered the full set of factory bushings from Infiniti.
I don't want to use the originals. I'm worried about the noise
problems sixfive and others report with the Hotchkis bars.
Stillen said nothing about greesing the bushing as Hotchkis
does. Hotchkis sure does put togeather a great DIY
installation guide! Stillen provided a 1 sheet quick guide,
Worthless IMO
