Re: Stillen sway bars on sale!
No, the four bushings cost me $29.50, the cost of the sway
bars delivered was $313, total cost = $343.

Re: Stillen sway bars on sale!
hmm...aren't both front bars are the same 1-3/8" (35mm)? Hotchkis would probably sell a couple 'replacement' bushings and brackets. Also, dunno what dia rear Stillen bar is but, if the same as Hotchkis, there may be a source for them too...

Re: Stillen sway bars on sale!
I attempted to install the Stillen sway bars with my neighbor
last Saturday. Put the sedan on ramps and started to loosen
the end links on the front bar. There was no room to put
a breaker bar on the end link, could not put a ratchet on it
either. So I put a box end wrench coupled with a helper bar.
All that did was strip the corners off the nut! I quickly realized
I could not do this install myself. Drove the car down the street
to Firestone. They agreed to install both bars for $90. It was
well worth the money. I had received three of the four new
bushings, both fronts and one rear. Well....the old bushings
were in perfect shape. Reusing the one old rear bushing didn't
concern me at all. I had the mechanic apply silicon greese to
all four bushings. With the car up on the lift and wheels with
no load, there was plenty of room to put a ratchet/tourque
wrench/breaker bar everywhere they were needed. With the
car on ramps, there was no room to loosen the end links.
With the bars installed, we took her out on a test drive.
Could not notice a need for four wheel allignment, but it might
need one? I had the mechanic install both front and rear at the
tightest settings. Forget the light and medium, I don't notice
any difference between the Stillen bars at the 70 percent
settings versus the the stock bars under normal granny
driving. But we put her thru some high speed agressive turns
and she ROCKS! Definitly more fun to drive. No noise from
the bars either.

If you notice any understeer, move the front to the medium or light setting.

Re: Stillen sway bars on sale!
whats the %'s for stillen at the hardest setting? I have medium medium and my tires get a little squeaky...at some point you are giving up some traction. I like the balance of M/M on my sedan tho. And l love turns now. No more rockin and rolling - cept for the VH!

Re: Stillen sway bars on sale!
According to Stillen, the hardest setting is 70% stiffer than
stock. For the rear bar, thats much less than the Hotchkis.

Re: Stillen sway bars on sale!
Just got mine today. I paid for 3 day shipping and got it overnight from CA to FL. Total cost was $339. Not bad! I am impressed with the design. Will post review when I get them installed.
