How did you remove the letters
thanks for all the info guys, I just got mine debadged today. Spoiler coming in tmr, and windows being tinted soon, ill have pics up soon. By the way the goo gone sucked lol but it took it off ater half an hour, with me and my friend doing it. We took turns rubbing the adhesive off.
i tried to do mines today and failed, the car looks like it has been resprayed at least wit clearcoat, dirt and hard glue won't not come off, plus the glue took some of the paint off under the 3 as well, I just put them back on.
It's probably not the glue that took off the paint.
Dirt and other contaminants get wedged against the lettering, causing it to oxidize and get through the clear coat faster. This is my #1 reason for debadging a car.
You can always use the chipped paint repair procedures found on this site to touch up the clearcoat that's been damaged.
