Go buy a civic then race your friends.

At least when you total it, it won't make us look bad. AGAIN.

+10000000000000000

The Taurus SHO also base MSRP is 37k and change. Not only would I ever think a Taurus would be 365hp, but 40+ with options?!? That's insane lol

Furthermore, I didn't get my G sedan to race, that's not what it's meant for, unless your plans involve supercharging/turbo. I got this car, like most people, to get a classy, yet sporty ride with a peppy engine. Not to go beat up on civics and rsx etc

Yeah but to be fair, the Taurus isn't a POS like the 90's and early 00's were. Those were just cheap fleet vehicles. The new Taurus was originally the Ford Five Hundred which was designed as the top of the line Ford Sedan. When it didn't sell, Ford changed the name and improved the model. The new Taurus only shares the name with the old models. Fit and finish is much better, the sync system is awesome. If anything, i would prefer the new car NOT be naed a taurus for the same reason you just pointed out - $40K for a taurus?? That's like $40K for a hyundia. (oh wait a second....genesis anyone?)

But you are right...$40K is a lot for a Taurus, but I prefer the MKS better as I'm more about luxury and style than raw performance when it comes to a daily driver. The MKS will also come with the same 365HP TT V6 ecoboost engine...i can only imagine what it will cost.

The 1989 Taurus SHO came with 220hp and a 5 speed manual. That was pretty state of the art for 20 years ago. There are still a lot of 80's and 90's Taurus on the road today.

The MKS will be optioned the exact same as the SHO but with a bigger sticker price. I'll take that over the MKS anyday.
