Tail Light Tint

I know tail light tint is illegal in most states, i think is stupid, but i think it looks good and I was thinking of smoking the head lights a little bit. My friend got a huge roll of window tint, i think they are 20%? He gave it to me and I was wondering can you use the window tint for the tail light or are they separate for tail light. I put it on to see how it looked, I think the tint film is the same crap.

window tint on any exterior lenses will not hold up, window tint wasn't design for the exterior, it is much thinner then the tint used for the outside

You don't wanna do it urself is harder than it looks, our tail lights are too curved and not exactly easy to work with, you can get tail light tint on ebay, not as thick as lamin X but it'll do the job and won't rip like window tint, I have ebay tint on mine, is like 25 bucks for the tint and like 50 bucks for a pro to put it on

So far they are holding up. I don't know what type of film was used. I don't plan on removing it until is starts to peel.
Only time will tell.

Any one know of the GTR styled ones for the sedan? I am pretty sure I saw a member have them on a Sedan.
