Picking up an 04 6MT on thursday
wow knew there would be someone on here that would appreciate my light wheels..lol. If I do get 18s they will be forged light ones, as of right now it isn't a priority.
The Apexi muffler was sort of a bordom/sound mod, I found a used one and just assumed it was straight through like the new ones I was looking at but it showed up and it was chambered so I figured it couldn't be worse then stock so i had my friend use his muffler shop connection to weld it on for me, probably stupid in retrospect, but it does sound slightly better then stock I think...hard to tell really I should take a video. Problem with it is that it sticks out too far. As far as power gains I doubt it. I may get a full catback one day(probably stillen gen 2) but besides the money I'm worried about making the car annoyingly loud on the highway. The Apexi is probably due for a vid.
My RSX actually ran a similar time to your car something like 14.39@99.75 with a 2.3 60 ft, I had a better run with a 2.2 60 ft and 9.2@79 1/8th but kpro hit lean protection on the shift to 4th(you are supposed to shut that off when you are racing because shifting can fool it) and I ended up running 14.9@75..lol. so that probably would have been a 14.2. Everyone else said they got better times with those mods, idk.
I probably will get around to some more bolt ons and a tune at some point, right now my fiancee and I are getting a house so thats the priority. Also when I lived on long island there seemed like more reasons to do bolt ons because there were people driving around who gave a crap, in upstate ny everyone just drives rusty grand ams. Although there is an 1/8th mile track about 20 mins from me, I want to try that out one of these days.
what do you suggest for the side skirts?
any pics of your car on 16s?

Most of the pics are older, so the side skirts aren't as oxidized/faded quite as bad. I'll have to treat them with black to black and take before/after pictures. A heavy rain seems to wash it away, to some extent.
Your car looks good. I like light wheels, here is a link to the test Tony did to document the difference between light and heavy wheels. To me, it seals the deal.

Oh, and which 1/8mi track? If it's Skyview Drags, avoid it at all costs. It's not a place to go to cut good times. I've been twice, and it's by far the worst strip I've ever gone down. It's only fun if you want to run some people.

Sure are! Wait till you see the cloth interior and the manual seats! Hahaha
Hammerhead, your car looks GOOD. I like the look of the extra wide rears on those 17s. It reminds me of a fat set of slicks.
Skyview is the pits, never been to Cicero, but Lebanon Valley is a legit track.
Here are some pics from when I went to Skyview.

Here is me racing some hill billy (missing teeth) in his LT1 Camaro.

looks about right
do they require helmets?
and based on that dyno I gain 6whp from my wheels over stock 18s..lol

And I've sat in one with cloth seats before (idk if they were manual or not)
I'm really surprised I've never seen those before. Huh... guess you learn something new every day!

Either that hillbilly didn't know how to drive, the car wasn't running right, or likely a combination of the two, because my worst ET in my 94 Trans-Am, was better than your best ET.
But hey... a victory is a victory! Wonder what the inbred thought when a fat sedan passed him

lmao
yeah LT1's are insanely torquey, if there was anywhere I would not want to run into one its the 1/8th mile
I ran one of those in my celica gt-s(i think, could have been my rsx they blend together) and it put like 5 cars on me in 1st gear and by like 110 i was on its tail

^It may have been limited. Some of them had dumb speed limiters for some reason, maybe tires???
Mine was limited at 105
But I had another computer from a junkyard that wasn't limited (to my knowledge)
I think my car may have come with dealer installed winter tires.

Well look at the paint scheme, you think that LT1 is owned by a sane person :-)? If I recall, the stock LT1's were 13.8-14.5 cars, 14.5 range being the autos. This guy was an auto! He actually got a slightly better reaction time than me an jumped ahead for a split second.
lmao

^Mine was an automatic, but I had headers, an exhaust, CA intake, and an electric water pump. Still had the uuber crapy 2.73 rearend though
Sadly I only got to run it on the 1/4 once, so my worst et and best are one-and-the-same
It ran a 14 flat at 100, but it was a really crappy run. The track that I was at gave half-track times, and comparing my first 1/8th on that run, with my best 1/8th, I lost .3 in the first 8th alone. If mine would have been running that day, it would have been a 13.7 easy.

At that track, I was about .4-5 slower than normal through the 1/8mi. It was/is a terrible track. I was also door to door with an LS1 Camaro, but on the slip he edged me by about .15. I guess I had a better reaction time. Oh, and an S/C 350z was struggling to pull 9.0-9.2 1/8mi times.
I'm hoping that with the Hypertech programmer I can get a 13.99. I've added a couple other things since the 14.17 run. Everything is listed on the "Mr Garage" page.
Yikes. That must have been a crap track for a s/c 350 to only pull a 9.0.
That 94 pulled a 8.9
It needed a better ratio badly.
Was it traction issues?
A buddy of mine stomped a supercharged Ram SRT-10 with an AWD Murano that had nothing more than an intake, simply because the truck could NOT hook up.
He put it on youtube, and it drew plenty of the typical idiotic youtube comments
