05-06 5AT shift **** options??

My shift **** is starting to wear slightly. I dunno how really, but the "leather" on one side is getting a little rough. Could prob get it fixed under warranty as i don't think it should wear like that.

BUT, is there any sort of other **** that will fit on here? Not looking for anything in particular, but something different and classy (in other words no racing-type R ***** or anything)

I could be mistaken but I think the 05/06 AT sedans use the same type of mechanical plunger as the 03/04?

If they do, I use to have this Momo shift **** before I switched out to the Razo. The Momo is a very comfortable, classy looking shifter IMO. It fits nicely in the palm of your hand and is closer in size to the OEM shifter. Most others are smaller and not as comfortable (I like to ride with my hand on the shifter....I just opened the door for some of the ghey's hehe )

It's priced around $100 and is a great quality shift ****. Also comes in black

^ you should mention they need to be modified to fit.

Momo is very classy, Razo is very sporty, both works on the 05-06 sedan. Those two are the only aftermarket ones I would consider.

isnt it awkward to get used to shifting with the button on top instead of on the side?

I have the black Momo shifter in my '03.5 G for the last 1-1/2 years. No problems with it, and I'm used to engaging the shifter with the palm of my hand instead with the thumb or fingers. Plus the shifter sits decently lower than the stock OEM shifter.

Actually, the momo one doesn't look half bad.

Does it come in any other colors?

Here are a couple of the M **** on a Second Gen G. IMHO it looks great. I've attached the DIY link below the pics, but it looks like a pain in the butt for us First Gen boys.
