I think dave is just mad he can't afford it, I've heard of plenty of people banging into things with their rookie bumper and nothing happen to the bumper, if it was that thin and fragile like he says, every1 would have a cracked rookie like the cracked bodykits you see in civics and integras, and there's plenty of guys who are dropped in addition and not one single crack

I was only chiming into this thread to let people know that they might have to do additional prep work when receiving this bumper and that it appears to be fragile.
Viet makes it very clear that professional prep and fitment is suggested… the thing doesn’t come painted so you need a shop anyway…

There aren’t many (if any) FG body kits (front/rear bumper, rear valance, side skirts/rocker panels) that don’t require some finagling… however; this bumper has proven to be a much better fit than most. I haven’t heard of anyone having issues (other than your report and you don’t even have the bumper)…

I bought a FG Wald replica rear valance made by VIS that had lots of fitment issues – but I knew that ahead of time and wasn’t concerned since I planned to have if modified and molder in… but this bumper has been installed by many without those kind of fitment issues.

I have no idea where you get the idea that it is fragile.

I’ll say it again: Common sense tells you (or most of us anyway) that is there were problems with this bumper, we would be reading about it all over the forum… you are the only one that I’ve ever seen saying there are problems – but of course, you don’t even have one.

if you ever come across his posts about performance mods its the same thing... if he doesn’t have it on his car, its no good.

Funny enough, the majority of people using this bumper are wayyyy more into modifying their cars than he is - and most have done a LOT more than he has... yet just like many of his other posts, he seems to have an "expert/experienced" opinion.

Just another example of him posting while clueless.

This isn’t about feud Mark… there are 6 or 7 other people in this thread with first hand knowledge of the bumper that are also question his “knowledge” (as it pertains to this bumper)…

funny thing is, he's talking about expert and what not, when the rookie bumper first came in, I let me tell u with a big "I" a girl, installed this myself. no experts at all next to me, drilled the holes myself, lined it up myself, and fit it myself, and damn it, it's perfect.

i dont need no expert next to me to tell me, "eh, u need my help, but it'll cost u..."
it's common sense, u dont have the bumper, ur talking about fitments and flaws, do u have one? if not, why u believe people? "ur nothing but a high school girl in the cafeteria all about her gossips...."

i think viet did the best job for this bumper.
and he changed alot and offered something great for the sedans.
all we need is an awesome hood and KENSTYLE rear bumper!!!

No problems with mine , And I drive nutty , daily, the slight damage that has occurred has been because of my own irresponsibility .Great product . Very happy.

I bought the OEM Aero bumper for my G. "Afford" has nothing to do with it. I actually think the Rookie bumper looks pretty good, especially with the planned modifications ClearBra_Guy is doing to his.
