So people shouldn't be informed that some of these bumpers might be arriving to the buyers is pretty ****-poor shape? Yeah, make sense. It is a public forum afterall.

Sure sounds to me like some of you guys have got your panties in a bunch because I posted pictures proving my side of the story, of which, I was being called a liar.

If you trully feel dissatisfied, the best thing to do was to contact rookie and let him know how you feel about it and present him the pics before really talking down on the bumper. He is a real cool guy, and he would of easily looked into the issue.

Dave – yours is the only report of a poor bumper. There is no other. There are countless of posts from satisfied owners of this bumper… do you think all these people are on Viet’s payroll and get paid to say good things? We have told you countless of times, contact the seller and get your problem resolved. Period.

For you to post page after page insisting the bumper (in general) is crap – and saying stupid things like “it won’t withstand impact from more than a few ounces” (when actual users have testified otherwise) and that you’ve “seen these bumpers” when later you admitted to only seeing pictures of one bumper… yes Dave, we find that (and more) very concerning and far less than truthful.

You can go on and on and on about how poor this bumper is – but the fact is, you are the only one that has ever reported negative things. So no one in their right mind is going to conclude that these issues are the norm.

Now if you will excuse me, I have a golf outing scheduled with Sammy.

To the issue of how many:

It's a great looking bumper, but be aware of it's flaws. I don't think anyone has really pointed this out yet among the many Rookie threads.

*I can already sense the tongue-lashing that is going to ensue from the Socal group*
To the issue of how many pictures:

He's an expert auto body guy and luckily for him, he has the skill to give this bumper some love plus he's doing some other modifications to it. The workmanship of his bumper is pretty poor. You probably didn't notice any of these issues because you had a shop do all the prep and paint. There are portions of his bumper that are very very thin, edges that are extremely rough, and chips from mold removal (not due to shipping).

Once again, you don't have to own a particular thing to know that it's cheap or doesn't work as advertized. You know, as well as I, that the infamous Tornado intake is a joke.
So unless it was implied that clear bra had 27 bumpers, I don't see where it was said, implied or rumored that Dave had 27 seperate bumper pictures of individual fitment/quality problems. Nor do I see where Dave had to clarify what intially was very clear.

With that, I think the bumper is good looking

Ill put it in the proper context for your Jeff:

Don’t you think if it had all the problems you mention there would be boatloads of complaints on the forum? Instead, there are tons of praise and requests.

As usual – you post garbage without any first hand experience and dismiss all the information given by people that actually have experience in the subject.

There’s your tongue lashing – but its really more of a warning to others to be careful about the info you post – especially regarding things you’ve never used yourself.

Let’s be real… how would one conclude that Dave only knew of one bumper?.... His entire point from the beginning was that the bumper (in general, not just one) was flawed.

If his point was that Clear Bra got a bad bumper, why didn’t he state it clearly “I could post 27 pictures of Clear Bra Guy’s bumper”???…. I didn’t know that he meant one bumper… I thought he had accumulated 27 pictures of bad bumpers – whether they were ones he thought clear bra came across or 27 pics from forum posts? I didn’t know – that’s why he was called on it… as it turns out its one friggin bumper (the only one apparently).

Maybe you understand DaveB code Jeff, but I think in a more concise manner.

Why? Why would he? I went back and read Dave's first few replies in this thread.

It was clear that he was referring to ONE guy's experience. And the number of pictures from THIS ONE GUY.

Why would he only mention ONE guy if he had pictures of 27 different bumpers? Logically he'd be listed all 27 members if he had access to it. Certianly he wouldn't repeatedly only be referring to ONE guy all this time.

You misunderstood. Just admit it. It's really a minor thing when the real issue is Rookie's bumper quality. Not you and Dave having a homo love trist

my homo love for Dave aside... obviously I misunderstood his meaning...

Hell if I knew he was talking about one sole bumper my first post would have been - CONTACT THE SELLER. The same as I said when it was finally clear that it was only one bumper.

Hell, I told him that buyers don’t stray from cars due to lemons... why would I have not cut to that chase had I thought he was clear about one bumper?

Who in their right mind considers one report of one bad bumper as even relevant based on the dozens of reports of good bumpers?

I'm really late for Tee Time with Sammy... all us So Cal G's are golf buddies you know (I mean Dave said so - so it must be true).

I have no idea about your thought process Mike. Just pointing out that Dave meant and clearly stated it was one bumper.

Now have fun golfing. Shankasaus

Due to my expertise in Dave code, I've threw this sentence into a 10 million dollar software program and after 30 min of complex computing, the often misunderstood term of "ONE" was finally decoded to mean.......one.

Tee it up Shankapotomus

You wasted 10M dollars.

Let me guess... your next post is going to be - you never said you "paid" 10 million dollars.

When all else fails (as in bashing a bumper) - turn to semantics right Jeff?...

He said he could post a whole slew of pictures (27 to be exact). I've addressed this already. This is Dave clarifying how many pictures he had from the ONE person he mentioned. There's no need to continue to clarify the # of people involved if he already clarified it. That of course would be repeating himself.

To the issue of semantics, again, you either misunderstood or flat out missed it completely

I flat out miss how someone could insinuate an entire line of bumpers is faulty from simply looking at pictures of one bumper. Especially when there are countless of positive reviews.

That’s the bottom line.

Of course – you can’t let go… so I know you will keep posting.
