Then why dont you get a nismo front bumper?
I am looking into it. They are rare, expensive, but look pretty good!

I don't take offense by people who think it is ugly either.
Seriously rookie, the work you do is amazing. It takes some skill to be successful with glass. Even if I don't agree with the aesthetics of the bumper at least you are satisfying many people.

All good man. Some of you guys should get a long better, things are lost in translation over the internet very easily.

Yes, that’s my reply - being as the majority of the posts I've seen from you seem very adolescent… I’m quite certain you are still green in life - and definitely not up to par for some of the discussions you chime into.

I'm very aware of the definition of "obtrusive" - however I'm not certain you were until you looked it up... its a poor adjective to describe this bumper...

Post #204’s response to post #202… hmmmm seems like some people like to bark in this thread for no real apparent reason…. Either that or they aren’t sure what they really like.

Who the **** do you think you are? I can barely tell that's a rookie bumper. I asked for more pictures. Could I be complimenting his paint or the overall look of the car? Have you seen me compliment 4drGreatness' car? I guess I automatically hate the car because it has a rookie bumper on it!

You need to stop skimming the surface of people posts, or maybe you are taking them too literally.

GTFO of here bro

O didn't see your other stab, the "obtrusive" lines of the bumper do not compliment the rest of the car.

Input on the bumper since rookie asked.

First off. If you don't like the look that is an opinion not anything to do with the facts.

Quality- As far as the quality it was well made for the price. I did not see any noticeable " low spots" or edges. Overall it was a very even structure. Even painted a satin/matte black it is almost clean as my cars panels. The surface is very smooth, but like anything aftermarket it is not perfect.

Strength- This material is nor plastic or carbon fiber people, it is in between. It will have issues if you drive into a curb... it is lower then stock. If you have any common knowledge of materials you would know to be cautious but I am pleasantly surprised how well it has been holding up. I have hit some driveways too fast and nothing has happened yet that is noticeable so a big thumbs up for that.

Fitment- I am still impressed by how well it sits. I mean I did the install with a dremel, sandpaper and rivet gun. If you are having this "professionally" donte I would not expect anything less then really clean lines. But it is not OEM rookie didn't spend a million dollars getting it perfect I am sure but it is so close to stock I have zero complaints.

Paint- Far as paint and prep goes I was in a hurry so my criticism in this part is not the best. I just did a light sand and used some old primer and got it guned. It looks great chips relatively easy but I do a lot of freeway driving so it is expected my stock bumper changed colors.... so this is nothing new.

This is a complete honest opinion since Rookie asked I hope this helps.

Thanks for the honest opinion.

Some of the best aftermarket aero parts I've ever seen are made by ASM. Here's what a ASM front bumper for the S2k costs. http://www.gotuning.com/product_info...products_id=56

Fit finish and quality of the ASM part is very good, at 1500.00 it should be.

Rookie. For the record, I'll repeat, I like the look. And I honestly believe you put out the best product for the price. AND you have great communication with the guys here. A rare combo.

My only question is the pics provided typical or an exception to what people can expect?

And I'll state this. I can't comment on the thickness but the other flaws aren't that bad to me and probably falls within a normal prep. Most of it. The broken piece maybe not. But overall, I don't think it's that that bad at all.

Thanks

Jeff

Does this mean that it's a cheaply made cheaply sold part? Maybe so.

If anyone is expecting a perfect quality bumper for under 300.00, let me know where to purchase one cause I have seen much more expensive bumpers that fit worse, and are of even less quality.

These do not go out with the notion from me that it is ready for paint. These do not go out with the notion from me that they should not be test fitted before paint.

I have received in total of 1 person, which is clearbraguy that this bumper is below his expectations. I have received in total of 0 people that were charged more then they thought was correct for paint and install from a body shop they used.

Heist did his own paint and install. I've asked him to post what he thought of the prep and paint work he had to do. https://g35driver.com/forums/media-s...ss-begins.html

this is the exact pm I just sent him.

To anyone that thinks it is subpar or not good enough, I don't take offense by it. I don't take offense by people who think it is ugly either. Different people have different standards, just like different people have different tastes.

I think they look badass though.

This is not typical of what the end user receives. I will try to be as politically correct about this.

I was told the box was caved in, supports were broken, and it looked like the bumper had just been thrown back in.

I can't say to you his opinion of the bumper is a more valid opinion then mine. He could be the person that invented fiberglass or something. hahah

That's why I asked Heists opinion. He picked his up from my house, did his own prep, paint and install.

We can end the argument by having all parties buy, send me a free bumper and I will give my unbiased opinion.

This is what the box looked like:

The supports look good:

Even if the box was caved in and/or the bumper pulled out, dropped, kicked, whatever, the bumper is still pretty rough about the corner lamps, thin in spots, and a bit rough.
