I was on the highway and I saw a black Sedan coming up on my rear right side pretty fast...and when he was going by me I saw the AMG logo and took off to see how well I could do keeping up...I was right there the whole time...never lost a step up to 140...needless to say for $57K less I was very happy!!!

your lucky it wasnt a new S55 AMG sedan....otherwise you would have gotten worked....the new ones are supercharged and put out like 469 hp....But good job in keeping up....pe@ce

 

Boss your sedan is fast, and your the man but ive driven those almost as much as my G35 lol!!! My friends S55 amg same year rips me apart on the highway!! We havent ran since my mod's so i cant say but those have never ending pull on the top end, they are beasts and that's just the NA engine. His father also has an E55 amg and WOWWWWWWWW...... Im gonna run him again though. Nice run, Martin!

I'd think you could run with him till about 100 then the big power of the V8 kicks in. They are beasts on the highway.

illG35...This is the second time I have stayed right on the tail of one of these...course the first time was only up to about 110...Believe me, I love and respect anything AMG...I was just happy that on this day, as was the case the last time, I was able to stay right there...which you know and I know pi$$ed the Mercedes drivers off...lol

Well said Boss, it hink you shoudl run for president =) Anyway i was able to keep up with this S55 with just my intake till about 65-75 then he just took off ahhaha..... Great cars though.

You can always say you admired a car. Say you know what it's capable of ... but come on my forum (not just yours) and say you drove your car at 140 mph on a public highway with another car following at the same speed and you my friend have earned the jacka$$ award for your behavior. I don't troll. But I don't see why you should be allowed to boast of reckless behaviour which is likely to encourage others. You don't own the road. If you hit road debris at 140mph and blew out a tire and slammed sideways into a car full of children then you would be a jacka$$ of a different sort. You are trolling...you are not contributing to this thread and you are playing the roll of ultraconservative person of the year behind the wheel...there is no need on a car enthusiast forum...yours or mine. Again, if you want to preach become a minister and then you can impose your Big Brother attitude and beliefs on anyone who decides to come.

I have the right to post it just like anyone else has the right to post anything they want, albeit no swearing and sexual misconduct...For the last time there is nothing irresponsible about doing 140 on a 4 lane highway with no one around in a car that was 100% made to do it you donkey...Have you ever heard of the autobahn??? What you say is wrong and makes no sense relevant to this particular situation...PERIOD...End of story. There was no weaving, Crazy braking, or traffic around.

If you hit road debris at 65 MPH and roll your car or go out of control sideways into a car load of people blah, blah, blah you will do the same damage as 140...it'll just be happening at a lesser velocity. And when you start bringing in what ifs that consist of fictitious people that weren't there you are grasping at straws to bolster an obviously wrong argument.

I am not laughing at you at all...I find your attitude devoid of amusement and your position nothing but annoying...but...every forum has uber bigbrothers like you so no skin off my back...just remember, the Caravan or SUV driven by the same mother with a vehicle full of children driving down the same highway you are referring to...is on her Cell Phone not using her signal cutting me off at least 3 times a day...Think about it!

There's no way a G35 would ever pull on an S55 at those speeds, and it probably has a higher limit stock than our G35's!! With his technosquare who knows what would have happened.
