This should be able to work right?

Man last time I posted in the electronics, some guy advertise to try to sell me some crap, so I'm going to post here. I was going to go with an ipod + aux integration from a local automobile electronic store. Would cost 270, but now that I think of it, i really want a double din, looks awesome and I'm pretty sure a lot of you guys have it too. I'm going to get this custom casing

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...fAudioQ5fVideo
Hopefully that fits, i have an 2005 g35x.

Then I'm going to get this double din HU
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001PA974Y/ref=s9_simz_gw_s1_p23_t2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0NKVSEGQ51D2XDDQYS95&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001PA974Y/ref=s9_simz_gw_s1_p23_t2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0NKVSEGQ51D2XDDQYS95&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846

I'm most likely going to buy the parts they need and get it professionally install to save some money. THe place sells the stuff but it is overcharged to the max.

Those 2 should fit right without much problems? I don't want the store to be like "oh yeah this couldn't fit so we did this and that so that
s going to be extra 100 dollars please, thank you"

IMO, get the JDM double din kit from Tony at Riverside Infiniti. It cost a bit more, but its looks 100X better than the Metra. The headunit seems to have postive reviews as well, and Pioneer does make good headunits. Good luck!

Man, get a JDM double din kit from one of the vendors. That piece from ebay doesn't look very good.

Call them on Tuesday, they probably have some in stock. You can also check periodically the marketplace for used units.

You will also need a steering wheel control adapter, nissan antenna adapter and one of two different harnesses depending if you have the standard system or amplified bose with sub in back deck and amp under the left rear of back deck.

Ok, fair enough. But usually "buttons" are just pieces of plastic that press a micro switch on the pcb, so has anyone tried just swapping the stock ones? And I'm painting mine anyway, so if it doesn't match does it matter?
I'm not arguing with you at all, I would just really like to understand more about this. I'm not used to paying $150 just for a dash kit, much less TWICE that much for the JDM one!

Again, do a search on the forum and I'm sure you'll find enough examples to convince yourself. Unfortunately all parts that fit our cars are imported; you are not driving a domestic car. Hence, we pay high prices. Still, as I explained you before you have the option to be patient and wait for a used dd kit.

Well The buttons is like a board, its one piece. Can't you take out the metra ugly button board and replace it with the stock button board on ur g35 now. The case looks the same right?

But I understand, its much more expensive because its JDM. I just PM tony from riverside, he hasn't responded yet.
