I havent checked the relays only the fuses. I know where you're pointing to I might go tackle this tomorrow during the day. I have a JDM nissan ac control and everything works fine. I did have my dash completely apart once, so that plug could really be unplugged. I'll update you as soon as i can!

 

i opened it up tonight...saw a couple white plugs and they appear to be plugged in.

is this small white plug really high up behind the dash? I only looked in the immediate surrounding of the vdc switch

 

It is not too high up...but yeah higher and beyond the 3 frontal buttons....you'll see a metal casing thats like a half circle...should be to the left of it...check the relays. theyre in the ipdm/er next to the battery..pop off the case and there you will see several small relays and 3 larger ones. when looking at the larger ones, i think the middle one is the defogger relay. switch the middle and last one around and see if the defogger comes on. if so, bad relay.

I don't know what else it could be besides a break in the grid, which would be hard to believe since your windows are tinted. You can pull back the rear pillar panels and check the tabs mounted to the window. there is a small condensor unit there as well (passenger side). If everything is plugged in and fuses and relays check ok, there is a break in wiring or a short.

Are you getting the defroster light to come on?
Can you hear a click in the rear when u turn rr def on? it was a very faint click, but i heard it even with the plug out
