But does your head actually touch it during normal driving??

A lot of cars tilt it forward. Part of the design to support your head in an accident.

^ the mustang headrest is the WORST looking headrest in the world (dunno if its safer or better), i cant but laff every time i see and older lady driving one and when the sit strait up and close to the steering wheel!

OP- mine headrest looks the same, and check this out! might clear a lot of confusion up!!!! watch this little video

I agree...not my cup of tea but the only car at the moment i could think of with a similar style headrest.

I know Volvo's have pretty good remarks about headrest design (in terms of actually protecting your head and not style) and their are similar with the tilt-forward design
