thanks for advice

Have you done any paint job yourself before?
Any tip for painting myself? what I should be careful when I paint myself?

Yeah photos look ten times different than in person. It will be worth the money to have them done professional. It might seem pricy at the time, but when they turn out really good, you wont even worry about it.

I wouldnt consider diy body parts... I've done engine bay stuff, center caps for wheels and little things like that... but for what you are doing, click link and read again:

I found some people who did that themselves.(KushG35, GetsomeG35, blkonblkG35 etc) They did well because they have garage? I want garage

Color is Caribbean Blue.
How much Maaco charges for painting lowers do you think?

is it easy to remove the paint? just sanding and that's it?
to remove paint you just put paint thinner in a rag and buff it out, i did it outside not in a garage

i don't condone painting body parts yourself either, you're never gonna get that professional gloss like a regular car paint job if you're not a pro, but im getting a body kit so it was just a temporary solution, the paint looks dull at times

Suppose I try it myself,
if i'm unsatisfied the work, i can do again or get painting from painting shop?

Yeah, you can get the paint back off. But when you do the plastic underneath will probably look worse than it does now, so you won't be able to leave it bare, you will have to repaint it. Also at that point you've already invested probably close to $100 in materials right? That's $100 that could have gone to having a professional do it. I would say, if you can't find any better price than $500, go ahead and do it yourself. But I think if you try looking a little harder, you can find a much better price. I can't tell you where to look because I'm in Florida, but see if you can get with any car guys, or better yet, anyone on this forum, that is local, and find out about paint/body shops or painters from them.

some things you can DIY like emblems, engine cover and stuff like that, but body panels are tough to match, go to a shop and be like i only got 300 bux or whatever, if they say no, walk away and keep looking

Look, the worst that's going to happen is you'll have to prep the surface again and repaint. Here in Kansas City, I couldn't find a shop (that I trust) to do this work for less than $400 (or something like that). Many shops didn't want to do it because they feared the paint wouldn't stick to the plastic. The reality was they just don't like to spend a lot of time prepping plastic for paint. It's not rocket science, even for a complete painting novice like myself. I went out and bought a $250 compressor with air tools, a spray gun, and PPG paint. My entire cost was about $500 AND I have a set of air tools now.

Read my DIY, learn how to remove the panels, prep, and paint. I've had no issues with the paint chipping and I'm closing in on 2 years now. You'll never get a truely glossy finish with the OEM gray sills because of the finish of the plastic is slightly rough. It will always be semi-gloss because you're only putting about thousandths inch of paint on.

thanks

I will try DIY first, because it may costs only around $50
and if the result is unsatisfying, i will get paint from professional.

So how much did that set you back? Or is it too rude to ask? Reason I do is because mine cost less than $200 but the OP said everywhere he looked was over $500, and that sounds high.
