Anyone painted lower sills?

I have 04 sedan.. the 1st generation.
I really want to get rid of black bottom things.

I want to paint the lower sills, but i dont' want to spend a lot.
Anyone painted lower sills?
How much it costs?

what tools need if I paint myself?
just lap the upper part, scrub with sandpaper, and spray the paint?
that's it?

Nope, you must be mistaken. The cars are 5-6 years old now. I'm pretty sure this idea hasn't come up.

Yes, it can be done; you can even do it yourself pretty easily and paint them a base color like black.

The down side is that they are the door sills which means they see a decent amount of action so that paint isn't likely to last.

I painted mine about 2 years ago and the paint is holding up fine on the sides and rear. No chips. I didn't have the paint the front because I have the Aero bumper, but I'm sure if I had to paint the front, it would be chipped badly. Of course, the OEM paint chips badly as well.

OP, search "DaveB" and "painted sills", "DIY painted sills".

It can. Go to any auto paint supply and you can have them mix a spray paint can or 2 of your car color code.

Really? Would that look like ****? I'll start painting everything EM lol

I can't think of anywhere that can even mix paint to a specific code in Canada.

Any ideas there?

I painted mine myself, they came out alright, is really hard to make them come out glossy like a regular paintjob though so that you can see your reflaction
