They look similar. I was at the gas station and a gs400 pulled up next to me, after a few minutes the driver walks over to me and tells me how much the two cars look alike. Side by side the shape is very close.

I see the biggest similarity in the headlight lenses and how the rear pillars come down on the trunk - that big curve. I like the GS. It's the only Lexus I think is really nice-looking and would ever consider owning. I still think the G has a nicer, more european-looking shape, well except for the rear tail-lights. The lights have grown on me, but the spoiler helps a lot.
