I've got a hitch

D'alan - seems to work pretty well. I have put a few thousand miles on it with the trailer so far.

This is the old bike, the car will tow two bikes, but it slows it down quite a bit, and gas mileage sucks.

With two bikes the trailer weighs in at just under 1,500 lbs. It is too tongue heavy right now, I need to move the axle forward just a bit.

I pulled the same trailer over 80K with a maxima, my only concern is that this car seems to have more body flex with the trailer than the maxima did.

A Few Questions?
1. How many holes do you have to drill? Or does it use pre-existing holes that already exist on the car, looks like the holes under the wheel wheel might already be there.

2. Does the hitch interfere with the operation of the energy absorbing rear bumper? Does this rear bumper have a piston set up to absorb energy or does it just Styrofoam?

3. How tough is it to rig up the wiring for the lights?

Any-other advice/info (other than don't do it) would be appreciated.
nice news to hear that. I think this makes the hitch not stand out as much as it would on the newer models that are monotone colored, with the exception of black of course.

Arrow Trailer hitch

In Alberta Canada I had a hitch put on my G35x. Took about 45 minutes. It was a T shaped hitch and bolted through two existing holes under the spare tire and had two holes drilled under the bumper. Works great! Cost $135 for hitch and $80 install. Trailer lights needed a $50 module which I installed myself after finding the wiring diagram on this forum. Mainly use it for carrying my bicycle when I go into the mountains. Super glad I did it.

I'm attempting to install my trailer wiring today--any chance you could link to where you found the wiring diagram? I haven't found it yet on the forums but I'm still looking...

Or does anyone have any experience with custom attached hitches (if so any knowledge of companies around the Chicago area for installaton would be phenomenal). My fingers are crossed that this hitch issue is not going to stop my new water toy purchase!!!
Had a hitch installed no problem. 2 bolts under the spare tire and two holes drilled in the back bumper rail. I believe the hitch was a Reese brand, not sure. Very slick.
Here is the wiring diagram for lights, check under Parking lights to see the wiring diagram for connecting an adaptor to get your 4 pin trailer lights working.
