Couldn't Resist This One!
When I got the MG I was a Junior in high school. They were at least somewhat common at that time. . . not an old classic car. You still saw MGA's around now and then, and they were an "old classic car". The car had a great sound like I think a G35 would never quite have. It wasn't particularly fast, but it had a great feel to it, and real nice handling. Just fun to drive. I ended up replacing the Dual SU carbs with Weber carbs. Today some people replace the pain in the *** ignition with a modern electronic ignition, and they also mod the pain in the *** dual SU carbs that don't stay in tune and screw up all the time, and they mod the suspension, and sometimes the brakes. In some ways however to mod one these like that is nonsense. A really clean original example is generally worth more.
