^I very much doubt you had 40k cash when you were 17. i call BS.

We put Nexens on our 04 G35x right before we turned it in. They were pretty good and will work for you.

I didn't get to choose, he got a good deal on it and jumped on it alright. Of course i am very grateful not like other kids who cry like omg why didnt you get me a ferrari blah blah. I still thank him to this day and I couldn't ask for a better car. He got it for me cuz it was AWD and decent in snow, i had a beamer which didnt do too good in the snow.

That's funny, my tires are only 6 months old and getting close to needing replaced.

^I have probably put on 10k since i installed my Falken FK452s and i am not near the wear bars yet, but they seem to have gotten extremely loud. Like my sisters fiance and my dad both say it sounds like my wheel bearings are going out.

Looking around, people seem to say loud tires are a sign of the tires soon to be needing to be replaced?

I have the 452's also and I've been feeling the same way. I have about 7k miles on mine and they definitely have become louder over time.

Most performance tires, especially wide ones, will get loud after 50% of their wear and will get progressively louder. If the tires become louder as you stop from 30mph to 0mph, your front tires are most likely exhibiting a bit of inner edge feathering. My 235/45R18 PZeros have gotten pretty loud. They're 70% worn, have a bit of feathering, and they get much louder when the temps are below 70 due to the rubber getting hard.

What exactly is feathering? Is that an alignment issue?

next time, get a job and pay for your own stuff if you're driving it everyday.
it's not fair for ur parents to pay for anything.
I find that a bit hard to believe that you had $40K by the time you were 17 unless you received the money from an inheritence or something similiar. In that likely case, you didn't work for it. Most of us that held a job or two in high school, were lucky to save $10K to purchase a car. If you were able to afford a $40K car for cash, that was a horrible purchase unless you had a lot of money elsewhere. It would have been far wiser to have invested $40K at 17 than spend it. You G is worth about $17K now. That $40K would be worth about $60K now. I

As for parents paying for things, I've got no issue with it assuming the kid respects and understands the value of a dollar. My parents gave me their 86 Accord hatch back in 1989. I had one of the nicest cars in a school of 1200. My parents could afford it and they felt I was responsible enough. I played sports in school, work 15-19 hrs during the school week at a grocery store, did yard work on the side, worked about 30-40 hours/wk in the summer/school break, and maintained a high B average. I will expect the same from my son and daughter.

It's such BS when teens these days claim they can't work while being in school whether it be HS or college. Absolute BS. It's called time management and discipline. So many damn parents aren't involved in their kids lives anymore. They expect the system to raise their kids. Going off on tangent....will stop....

It's what happens to your tires after you run negative camber, they ware out on the inside edge that is sitting closest to the road.

Right?

And I agree with DaveB nobody is 17 years old with $40,000 cash unless they stopped going to school and worked full time and even then, you;re looking at 2-3 years to save....WORKING FULL TIME.

But daveB, you just showed your age man. Bitchin' about the youth and their work ethics hahaha
