Good point about the factory alarm. I'm not driving my G today, so I can't test it out. But does the factory alarm toggle the headlights too or just the running lights? I can't remember myself, as I haven't been paying that close attention to it!

 

Who can I call at Infiniti to discuss what is apparently a poorly designed system?

 

No, the HID's flash as well as the fog lights. Speaking of "running lights" when you go to that, do the amber lights come on, mine don't, just a very low beam, not sure just how visible that makes the car.

My Aftermarket alarm only flashes the fogs.. he did it with just that intention to NOT trigger my HIDs.. yes they will burn out.. I don't drive with the auto sensor because its WAYYYYYYY to sensitive.. turns on under an overpass!

Thought that I would bring this topic back up again...

Last night I finally remembered to test out my sedan to see what blinks when I turn on the factory alarm. For me, [up front] only the front ambers blink [not the side markers] - not the HID's. I have a 2004.5 sedan, no Premium package. Perhaps it varies depending upon whether or not you have the Premium package?
