Should i get a coupe mid-pipe? (I have an 05x)

I have done some research and several folks say 05-06 sedan mid pipe is good enough, others say go with the coupe middy for a better exhaust note as a whole. I have seen some videos showing a really nice note with the coupe mid. I don't want the constant "drone" noise when im driving, i like it rather silent, but definately would like a more aggressive exhaust note when i punch on it (without making major changes and spending $$$$)

Note: i currently have only ztube, but will probably get a 5/16 spacer soon.

Any thoughts about the mid pipe?

Any suggestions about other inexpensive items i can get to achieve what im looking for?

If you dont want any drone than stick with your stock midpipe, you will get a bit of drone witht he coupe middy. Get yourself an HKS muffler in place of the spacer.

+1 on getting HKS muffler. But I wouldn't do it before the spacer.

Eventually you will get use to the sound and want to go louder then you can try out a mid pipe.

The Coupe Midpipe on an 05/06 makes a deeper exhaust note.

Play them at the same time you can hear the difference. your choice

rofl this thread appears every 2-3 weeks... I would strongly suggest the spacer before the HKS... that is if u want performance over sound.. otherwise get a coupe middy for 100 and be happy =)

the word/phrase "drone" is and will always be argued. To some its drone to others its " pure sex".

Videos dont do much justice either because notice how much wind noise you hear on videos but in person you never really hear anything.

spacer should be first on the list, as its been proven gain across all boards. I feel any exhaust on an automatic will emit some type of drone at one point. HKS run for like $400 VS coupe mid's for the $100. the mid will give you a lower exhaust note compared to the HKS. But the HKS might give you more of a pleasing note.

if i find a local one i'm jumping on it first =)

yea, I am wondering too. All I hear is good things about the spacer. I would just ignore his comment imo, until he explains it.
