Exclamation Help! Possibly coolant leak??

I found this when I got home this afternoon. This is coming from the front driver side, at the undercarriage. I checked the coolant level, and it is just above the MIN mark.

How could this leak have happened, and what can be done to get this fixed? This is a '03.5 sedan w/ 75K miles.

Did you open up the radiator cap to check the fluid? You could be low there and it might not show up in the overflow bottle. There is a heater hose with an air relief plug near that location. Was the coolant system serviced recently? That fluid looks new, and maybe they didn't tighten something down well.

how would it get in that channel (by brake cylinder) and not anywhere else?

almost looks like someone poured it from the windshield area (while hood was closed?)

Edit: it's not even in the channel - its on top of the rubber strip... that's even more bizarre!

I'm bringing the car to the Infiniti dealer this morning to get it checked out. I'll keep everyone posted on what's going on. Thanks for the comments so far.

I don't see how it would get to that spot on your brake cover and not be everywhere else in the engine bay. Additionally, I dont see how the fluid would be behind the tire there.

Someone playing a trick on you?

Start the car up and let it warm up. Once the thermostat is open you will have enough pressure to see if there is a leak anywhere.

that's my first thought... if it was only on the ground, I would suspect it's not even from his car (but from another car parked there prior)... but fluid on the rubber seal near the brake fluid cover seems real odd... if it was in the channel behind that seal, I'd suspect someone poured it there from the gap in the hood under the windshield.

weird.

yeah..maybe the hose going/coming from the heater core? ..but that spot is weird.. Did you see any down below the wiper area? In that coragated part of the plastic visible in your last pic by the wiper?
