Can I purchase an extended warrenty still??

Ok well first my car is a 2003 (made in 02/03) and has just hit 51000 miles... Now can I buy an extended warrenty for it??? Im kinda worried since I have the 5th gear bad sypthoms (Im going to change the fluids just to be sure even though fluids not old but might be brand).... Can anyone with TRUE knowledge chime in or there experience with their extended warrenty.

Nope. Your car is too old for an extended warranty.

Maybe not from the dealer, but you *CAN* get an extended warranty.

Google is your friend

extended warranties hardly ever pay for them selves

sure there are times when peoples window motor and such go out but thats not to big of a job if your a DIY kinda guy

I just cant justify paying more for a warranty, when you can buy the parts and do the labor your self or if the job is to big ,at least buy the parts and let someone do it

you also have to look at how much the warranty costs vs how much getting your issue fixed costs

I used to buy extend warranties on some thing but after awhile you start to notice that things don't break on their own. Im not saying you beat up our car but usually if you take care of your things your good to go.

my uncle works for insurance comp. and said extended warranty is worth crap i almost got one til he told me its like throwing away your own money.I also have pasted somewhere else that I had a 98 328i bmw manual and that was 5th gear was slipping, it was a beat up pressure plate in clutch, gradually started slipping into lower gears longer i drove. got a new clutch kit installed and not a problem since the 3 more years i had it till i sold and got my 04 G35X. my buddy with an Evo had same prob and it was his clutch also i hope this helps. If you have good mech. like i do he should be able to tell you why 5th gear is actin up and with no charge

Thanks for the input.... Makes sense why it'd be a waste of money. Ive down the whole mantience on this car and sometime changing oil before 3000 would hit. SO I know for a fact I taken care of this car and whoeva owned it before took care of it.... But well see...maybe with this OC problem I think I might have and possiable clutch or tranny issues... I think I might be pushing to go turbo now.lol
