Because there are different levels of premium - Premium A, B and C. Only C comes with the full size spare

This is for 05/06 btw....not sure about 03/04

Packages include the Premium Package A (available with the G35 6MT), with dual sliding glass sunroof with one-touch open/close feature, dual-zone air conditioning, driver?s seat memory, automatic auto on/off headlights, HomeLink? Universal Transceiver, Bose? audio system with 7 speakers, adjustable reclining rear seats, power tilt and telescopic steering wheel and more.

The Premium Package B (available only with the Sport-Tuned Suspension Package) adds all of the Premium Package A contents plus an automatic entry/exit driver?s seat system, Intelligent Key and rear air conditioning vents.

The Premium Package C (available on G35 and G35x AWD, not available with Sport-Tuned Suspension Package) included the Premium Package B contents plus a full-size spare tire.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm getting Coupe 18's and would like to know if anybody has tried replacing their fullsize spare with an 18x8 Coupe rim. If it fits, I may go ahead and buy a 5th rim.

Depending on the tire size it should fit. It may be a little wider so there may be a little bit of a bulge but it should fit.

Is this question to me?
If so, I have a spare set of 19" coupe wheels that I use for bad weather, etc.

I looked at the spare slot in my car and it doesn't look like anything wider than a 7" rim would fit flush. I think I could fit an 18"x8" coupe rim in there if I put some kind of 1"-2" spacer underneath the surrounding styrofoam to raise it up.

So basically, it could be done, but you would lose trunk space. Or you could just not use a spacer and have a hump under the carpet mat.

The full size spare cars have spacers that go around it. If you didn't have a full size spare then you are right, there will be a bulge.

I have a fullsize spare. The spacers only lift the mat up enough to be flush with the stock 17"x7" 215/55 wheel & tire. I think you would need an additional 1"-2" to clear an 18"x8" with a 235 or 245 tire. I will try fitting the coupe wheel in there once I get tires mounted.

Ideally, you'd want the diameters to be the same. I beleive the spare is sized to be the same size OD as the stock tire, so as long as the 19" tire size is the same OD as the spare tire size...you should be fine.

I think all of the full size spares are 17" wheels.
