Will a 19 coupe rim fit the spare slot in the trunk?

About to pull the trigger on a set of coupe rims, I was just wondering if a 19 coupe rim with rubber would fit in the spare tire slot ?

I would say yes because the circumference would be about the same, but I'm not sure if it's deep enough.

spares are meant to betemps. there wont be any damages, but it does drive very different. As long as the spares clear your brakes, you're fine.

Some G35's do come with a full size spare. My spare is just another stock 17x7 wheel with a 215/55/17 on it complete with TPMS sensor. I could swap it on and you'd never know it was a spare tire on there.

The trunk is setup slightly different with a full size spare. There are foam peices that fit around the tire that lift it up so the entire floor is even. Then the cardboard goes over it and the trunk carpet lays over that so it's completely flat.

I'd guess that if you have the full size space (Premium C package) then you might be able to fit it in there fine.

It really would only cause damage if you put it on a limited slip and the diameters of the tires were different.

Ideally, you'd want the diameters to be the same. I beleive the spare is sized to be the same size OD as the stock tire, so as long as the 19" tire size is the same OD as the spare tire size...you should be fine.

what is the purpose of this OP? why would you need to fit one in the spare space in the trunk anyways? Can't you fit them in the trunk, or back seats or what not.

I had one in my trunk for about 6 months. Yes a coupe 19x8 with a 245/40/19 will fit but as many have said there is a bulge. I did not have a full size spare and have fiberglass speaker boxes on each side so spacers were not an option. I dealt with the bulge. It might still be there a little with the full size spare setup but not as bad.

These days the spare tire well is gone, I cut it out.

What are you talking about? He wants to know if he can put it in the trunk as a spare wheel/tire so he will have a spare wheel/tire.

To the OP. As the previous posts have said, if you have a full size spare it will more than likely fit. There is quite a bit of room in there.
