15" rims and 225/50R15 BFG DRs will fit the sedan

I recently purchased two 15" Mazda Millenia rims (12lbs each) and a set of 225/50R15 BFG Drag Radials (23lbs) for my Maxima. Talk about a light tire/rim combo. Since I plan on getting a G35 sedan in the future, I was curious if this setup would fit my friends 03 G35 sedan. I did some research and found out the G35 sedan rear brakes are really no larger than my Maxima's front brakes plus the Gs rear calipers should be less beefy. I figured there would be a crack under a 1/4 clearance between the caliper and wheel hub. Monday night we mounted them on his G35 and there was ~1/8" clearance. As long as there is some type of clearance, all is good. The 225/50R15s are about 1.3" shorter overall than my stock tires. The G35s stock overall diameter is basically the same as my Maximas. The shorter tire gives increased torque multiplication and better overall gearing in the 1/4 mile. Don't be mislead by the small 225 width because they're actually quite wide (8' contact patch).

thanks dude. I got some 15x6 maxima wheel and fitted them up to the rear brakes already. I am looking for some good MT alloys on ebay before I buy my slicks however. I want something with beadlocks as I want full slicks. I tried my slicks from my old cougar 30x12 but they will not fit the wheel well. I am thinking 26x10 slicks or something near that size on a 8" rim
