I'm kinda curious as to what a Stone interior would look like with a black carpet. For the winter, i have a set of old floormats i put on top of my good ones, and they are black. I kinda like the look with the black mats. Kinda wondering if a black carpet would look decent, or if it would just show too much dirt?

I also want to change the stone leather center console lid to a graphite lid...just waiting til i find a good one on Fleabay.

That's about all I would change though. I love my stone interior as it is. But what do you think about black carpet?

i'd start by PMing locksmith, he makes a leather console slip... could be a cheap alt. to waiting for an ebay one. as for the rug, i think the black/stone would look great if it was taken care of, and the pic of that car(and the shot of your mustangs brakes i saw on another thread) makes me think it would be. just be prepared for a fun time, espacially if it's not molded, or even molded but not AS MOLDED as a OEM rug... i wanted to shoot myself with the bbody rug, and that was in the middle of the summer, when it was at it's most pliable. wouldn't want to attempt it now.

^Wow, he beat me to it. +1 on PMing locksmith. He did mine and I'm very happy with it. He adds a little padding to it when he recovers it, and it's much nicer to rest your elbow on.
I like the black carpet, doooeeet.
While you're at it, I would consider blacking the door pulls too. I'm going to make a DIY on how I did mine, I'll post it up when I get done

I hear you on installed aftermarket carpet. I put a new black carpet in one of my other Mustangs, and what a PITA it was. It came from ACC carpets (which i don't think does G35 carpet) and even though it was molded, it was a huge PITA and i had to cut out all the holes for the seatbelts and stuff myself.

I bet doing aftermarket carpet in a G35 might be even worse since it's much bigger area.

I'll check out locksmith..thanks

HwyDrftr, thanks for the Photochop

I see you are in NJ.. There is a guy on craigslist in Baltimore with a entire 05 G35 Sedan with Premium package for parts on craigslist.. He has full black interior for sale. Pretty cheap too, I was trying to buy the drivers seat and he only wanted $250 for it, I am sure you could get everything under $1000...
