Quick AWD/Staggered ?
I know a staggered tire set up is not good for the AWD system. i will be swapping out my fronts soon. Question is if I run staggered for a short period of time (< 1 month), should that be ok?
Also, would 245/45/18 or 225/45/18's be better for the G35x?

245/45/18 = 26.681" daim
fronts approx 2.85% smaller (diam) than rear. Dont know if the G35x AWD system has a threshold regarding tire size differentials.

I AM referring to tire diameter, not width of tire nor rim.

I really think your only issue will be that the speedometer will be off by about 1 mph. And make sure watever tire size you run, its close to your OEM g35x wheel's overall rolling diameter.
I will post this again and most likely again. I am running a 225/40/19 and 255/35/19 with no problems. I got a flat going to cali and ran a 225/50/17 on front and still had no problem. Keep the diameter close.
You can run a 3% (max, it might be 4% or 5% though...) diameter difference before the VDC will notice anything at all.
EDIT It's not in the sticky, does someone want to verify the percentage and I'll PM Tim to add it?

^^^3% is maximum you want it to be off by so speedometer will be off by less than 1 mph when it reads 60 mph on the cluster.
OP- go with 225/45/18-its larger by a difference of 0.47 from your OEM specs.
245/45/18 is larger by 3.12% in its rolling diameter
use the link below to help you find the differences.

I misread your post originally, but what I said stands. I believe this information is also in the sticky. I'm going to check now...
