HELP! Indicator is stuck on!!!

So randomly 3 days ago my dash indicated that my brake was on, needless to say it was not on at all. Then after I parked, turned it off, filled up the gas tank, and turned it back on it was off. Then the next day I started my car and my brake indicator was on again, along with my SLIP light being on. I tested it and my VDC is still on. After driving for awhile the brake indicator goes off but the slip indicator stays on. Its driving me nuts!!! In the morning both are always on, sometimes mid day after I drove to work and let it sit niether of them are on, but every now and then I get just the brake indicator saying its on.

Can anyone help me?

This topic has come up a few times in the last month.

Exact same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. My brake fluid level was just above MIN, I filled it to MAX and I haven't had any dash lights come on since. I would check your brake fluid level, fill it to MAX and see if that solves your problem.

^ most likely that is the cause. Like the he said above, check your fluid levels... or check your brakes..

Brake fluid is typically not checked. As your pads wear, the pistons extend and the fluid level drops. What was fine a month ago may not be fine now.

Before you top off, check your brakes. It's usually a good sign the front or rear pads may be low and need of replacement soon.
