Ignition/Key Light

Does the 2006 G35 have an orange glow light around the ignition? I could swear it does, and last night I was fumbling to get my keys in the ignition in the dark and the ignition did not have that light. You know the ring light around the ignition that some cars have so you can see where the ignition is in the dark? That's what I'm not seeing. Maybe I never had one, or maybe I do have one but the bulb blew. Can't recall and I don't see it in the manual. Thanks

Yes, my '06 with I-key has it. It's only on whe i get in the car and haven't turned it on yet, or when i turn the car off and haven't gotten out yet. With the car running it stays off

is it orange? I though it was off white... then again - who pays attention? but I think it's off white.

I could be ttly wrong though - I've noticed things in my own home that was there for moths/years and though it was new my gf can't believe I'm serious... happens at work too...

Come to think of it - that damn ignition ring could be green for all I know

Ok, thanks everyone. I called the dealership to see if it could just be a blown fuse and he said no, the whole ignition piece needs to be changed if that light goes out. Does that sound right?
Happy Thanksgiving!

figures... I'm always screwballed on stuff like that... but in my head I keep envisioning this off-white color... I can picture the ring specifically, the little notches and everything...

Now I'll have to go look tonight, or tomorrow, or Fri, Sat, Sun - whatever I drive the car again No wonder I dont know what color it is - I'm never in it

Wait, what color is my car again??

Mike, the ring is off white if the lights aren't on. It's orange when it's lit lit up.

^^^ maybe that's what is engraved in my memory - the color when not turned on...

Speaking of interior lighting… what ever happened to that company that did different color gauges?...
