Will an 2005 Armrest Fit on an 2003

I am trying to replace my armrest on my 03 G Sedan due to the leather ripping. I found one on the web but is show's it is for an 2005 G35X model. I wanted to know if it would be a direct fit?

are you referring to the center arm rest or the door panel arm rest?

If center console, I think so (but not certain).

Door panels are ttly different - in 05 they became much better (about the only thing in the new version that is better imo - besides the better hood seal).

based on what you wrote, I'm pretty sure you mean center console. Those things are crazy expensive new! Mine squeaked a while back and all it needed was new little front rubber feet - they don't have just the rubber feet, they had to order an entire new lid IT was warranty, so I didn't care - but I though it was stupid to replace the entire lid for a 2 cent part. did I just go OT while trying to be relevant?

Yeah It is for the center console, I went to the stealership and they quoted me $300+, I found a used one for $100 , still expensive, but I rather pay that then the $300

Dude, easy fix. PM Locksmith. He can recover yours and add padding, and it won't cost you $100
I had him redo mine in black suede because I'm going to be adding a lot of black accents over the next few months. It's soooooo much nicer feeling to rest your elbow on.

Before:

After:

While you're at it, pick up a shift boot from him to match

Another thing you have to think about... How much longer until that used one for $100 rips too?

Why do you say this? Everyone thinks the 05s have such a superior interior. I do too but I've never spent much time in an 05 so maybe I've missed something.

The only thing I found to be notably superior is the armrests on the door panel. and I like that the seal under the hood is more forward.

What do you mean "why do I say it"?... it's just how I feel about it that's all.

Well you know what, you're wrong the armrest in the 05 is crap and so is the hood seal thing.

LOL I'm kidding hahaha.

I'm just surprised, I think you're the first person I've heard say they like the 03/04 more than the remodel. I personally love my interior as well.

I haven't been in an 05 since I was shopping, so I don't remember the armrest on the door panel. Maybe that's a good thing.

I'm indifferent really... there wasn't anything about the 05 that I thought was superior other than what I mentioned... that doesn't mean 04 is better, there are equal in all other respects (as far as I'm concerned).

The only revision that I felt was far superior was the 07 sedan... I didn't even think the G37 was that great... the 07+ sedans are without a doubt the best G series out (imo).

its padded leather (or vinyl?)... when i first drove that car it was soooooo comfy! My arm/elbow melted into it! If you look way back to 05 you'll see posts that I made about it - I went to great lengths to get armrests like it...

The panels themselves are a direct swap (for $1100 )... I ended up having latex padded and leather wrapped - I'm fine with mine now

Man don't tell me that, I hate how hard the door panel armrest is! And $1100 for door panels??? what the heck???? I've taken my door panels off, I saw how they were built, no way they're worth that! Sometimes I just don't understand Nissan's parts pricing

You do a writeup on how you did yours anywhere?

I've written lots of music, I've written a business plan... I've written lots of policies and protocols for the industry I'm in...

But when it comes to my car I'm more about DIR than DIY...

DIR (do it right) is better left to an accredited upholstery shop... In this case Chuys' in Carson, CA.
