Well, it happened to me - the brakes were pretty much gone - below spec. at 24k miles. I had an oil change about 1k miles ago and the brakes were squeaking but the dealer took a quick look and said I should be fine till next service. Squeaking got better and then a lot worse till I took the car in today and lo and behold, the brakes were just gone. I was a little surprised I have to say. Just to note, my tires are still pretty good at 7/32 (tires are at about 18k miles as I had snows on during winter).

Happy to say Infiniti replaced the front rotors and pads under warranty.

They replaced mine too the other day.
Do you know what brake pads they installed?
I am not sure if its same as old or an improved version. Anyway mine are blue in color

You got more miles out of your brakes than normal. I had
mine replaced at 16K, 30K and 45K miles.

So are you guys saying that there is some kind of warranty on brake pads? I thought that was normal wear and tear and dependant on driving habits.....the reason why I ask is because mine are squeaking a little and the front pads feel or sound rough when I apply them, I have 19,000 miles on them and I have only owend the car for 8 moths so should I take it back to see if it is covered?

Are you saying you never got the brake warranty letter? Did you buy this car used by some chance? The brakes are warranted for 36k/36 months.

I bought the car brand new on new years day but I never saw the letter unless it is in the package they gave me. Thanks for the info I shall book an appointment to get them checked out.
