Thinking of getting a G35 sedan

I haven't gotten the chance to snap shots of the car yet.. But hopefully soon before the major snow storm hits. Everything is still stock, and I don't think I'm going to do any modding any time soon... I'm trading it in for a coupe next spring. =D
^Don't even bother asking about mods, I can already tell you, if there is one thing that is universal on G35Driver, it's that you WILL be told to drop it 
^ Yeah, I forgot, this is normally something I tell everyone that's shopping. G35pwrd is 100% right. Dealers are still hurting enough to cut some real deals, all you have to do is tighten the screws on them. If they don't work with you, push your chair back, if the still don't, stand up, if they still don't just walk out. You will find a good price with a little shopping.
Oh and pull the "I'd like to sleep on it" thing. Many dealers will knock off more just to make the sale that day because a very high % of people that leave, don't come back and they know this, so usually if they really want to sell a car, they'll do everything they can to sell it on the first go-round.

I just saw the car I wanted, walked up to salesperson with an aggressive, no bull**** attitude and said "I don't like @#$%ing around haggleing with prices. I have seen what you are asking for this car online (17,200), and I am willing to pay 14,500. Once paperwork is signed, I can go to my bank and have a check cut for the loan, so you don't need to finance." I already had the go ahead for the limit from my bank. He was pretty stunned, took me to his office, then went to his manager. Came back with the go ahead, drew up the paper work and I went to my bank. I was back in around 40 minutes with check in hand and out the door in another 20 minutes. All in all, I would say the whole process took about an hour and a half.

the modding is optional (keep in mind this is coming from the only person here who has NOT done any mods). but I'm also very satisified with my car.
as for handling, the only car that I have driven with better/comparable handling is a BMW. other than that, you will not find a better value in terms of a total package.
as others have said, go for the 05/06 models, as they have fewer bugs than the 04/03.

I picked mine up a few months ago. 2003 Ivory Pearl Sedan. No major issues with it yet, except I've recently just noticed some rattling noise on the driver side front bumper when turning and driving on bumpier roads; need to take a look at that soon. But other than that, I'm loving the car so far. My advice is to just look into and test drive as many cars as possible, then start narrowing them down.The G35 is an all-around reliable and fun car to own. The down side for me though is that I live in Minnesota, which snows a lot, so I regret not getting the G35x.. Anyway, good luck searching and I hope you end up with a vehicle that you're happy with. =D

I got mine this past feb for 14500 with 33 on the odo, but needed a little rust repair and is still in need of a better matching paint job than i was able to do..but that will only be 600 bucks

i already have a few mods in mind for a g35 and now its a toss up for me between a coupe 6spd and a sedan 6spd. i have my heart set on drop, all bolt ons, and hopefully boost. but after some searching it seems like boost would run me approx 5grand for the kit itself D=
I am completely comfortable with tearing my car apart and sticking it back together no prob, getting an 03 and swapping parts for a higher year is fine for me also

prophylaxis - saw that you narrowed it down...you DID see this (below), right? 6MT = sedan 6 spd Just wanted to point out that could be a potential problem.

yah i read that, but i figured if it was a steal of a price over an 03/04 it shouldnt be too hard of a fix right? i hope? im new to this oil consumption business and i think its a step up from 4 bangers to v6 still searching and trying to learn more before i actually purchase one in the next couple of months! it seems like the best colors for coupe are black on black, silver and black does white come with black on the inside? D=
